Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) Abuse Report

I am a British national travelling with my partner who is a Cambodian national. We were flying in for a quick trip, all required documents and money to hand. Thai immigration / passport control treated my partner in such a disgraceful manner just because he is Cambodia. They openly said… “do you know what the problem is… the problem is you’re Cambodian and we don’t want you in my country”. They split us up and shouted at me that if I didn’t leave my partner and go through passport control on my own then they would deny my visa and deport me. Several officials then proceeded to mock and shame my partner for travelling to Thailand and kept saying that they didn’t want him here and they should just deport him. They even took photos and videos while doing it. I’ve never experienced such outright racism in my life. Thailand you should be ashamed of yourself and the way you are treating citizens of Cambodia. Total and utter disgrace. Made us feel sick to the stomach. If you don’t want Cambodian nationals there then why do you still offer a 60 day visa on arrival for them? This was from multiple officials. All telling us to do different things. So rude and so angry. If you are Cambodian, do not go to Thailand. “Land of the smiles” = BS!!!
