Suvarnabhumi Airport — Wanchuni T Abuse Report

The Passenger service agent was extremely impolite and rude. I had a seaman’s ticket and due to changing dates the air India customer care was not able to give the allotted and paid 40kgs and asked us to approach the checkin counter to inform that the original ticket had 40kgs and that it will be resolved. But upon approaching the counter the said agent refused to check the previous ticket and didn’t even listen to what I was addressing. This is all happening when I’m 12 weeks pregnant and at a stage where I cannot lift weights. The agent being lady didn’t even consider that the situation was impolite and even asked me to put and remove the luggage on the weighing machine by myself while I was carrying a doctors certificate saying I’ll need assistance during travel. Your male service agent whose name I can’t recall was telling how can you travel alone when you are pregnant without anyone to help. This was totally uncalled for since he was telling me that I’m a woman and I’m not supposed to travel alone when pregnant that is straight away discrimination. The airport should be equipped to assist people who need help instead your airport have staff causing harm to the travelers. I’m a frequent traveler and this is the worst experience I have had at an airport. Being a tourism focussed country behavior like this will only affect inflow of tourists and I come from a country from where you get maximum inflow I’ll be surely reporting this to air India as well
